Discover God’s Steadfast Love

We’ve entered week two of our “Words for 2020” series, and this week’s word is Steadfast. It’s such a great word when you learn what it truly means and just sit with that for a bit. It strengthens, it encourages, it brings peace and hope. Steadfast is an amazing word to root and ground oneself with.

This weeks blog is more of a guided journaling meditation. When we take the time to sit, listen and make room for God to speak we can discover the most amazing things. Schedule out some quiet time and find a spot that inspires you to be still and listen.

Schedule and Sit

Begin by playing a worship song to help set your focus on Jesus. Read over the following scripture 3 times, and just sit with it.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (ESV)

Journal the Conversation

Write out the answers to the following questions, being sure to involve God in the conversation:

  1. Where have you seen God be steadfast in your life?
  2. Where have you been steadfast?
  3. In what area of your life is God calling you to rise up and be steadfast?
  4. How does God want to empower you in being steadfast?

Craft Your Prayer

To finish up craft a prayer out of what you have written and try to be intentional in coming back to that prayer regularly. Use this as your weapon of warfare against everything that comes against you. God’s steadfast love for you not only empowers, but equips you to overcome any and all obstacles. Our God is a miracle working God who fights on our behalf!

We highly encourage you to listen to the meditation that goes along with this week’s blog. Blessing you to become so firmly planted in His love that nothing can move you from that place.
