Apr 09, 2019Remember that time we started a blog and then struggled to consistently update it? Well maybe you don’t, but it tends to creep up and haunt me every now and again. Often times we are our own hardest critics and I am no exception.
In the case of this blog, I have a couple choices. I could keep wallowing in shame and believe I am a failure, or I could simply try again. Getting back up and coming at this thing again from another angle, seeing how we do. Isn’t that life? Anyone else out there need to hit the reset button today? Well, how about this? Let’s just hit it together, no big fanfare. Let’s simply get up and try again.
I have been my own personal critic for so many years, maybe it’s time to finally try something different.
In so many ways we tend to be our own worst enemy. Recently, I saw a massage therapist and she asked me if I tend to be hard on myself. The tears spilling down my cheeks confirmed a 100% YES! She told me to go easy on myself, to let meoff the hook, giving myself a little grace. I have been my own personal critic for so many years, maybe it’s time to finally try something different.
Here’s to getting back up and giving ourselves the grace we need to move forward. And don’t forget, stepping out and taking risks as well. So here we go, getting a little bit risky “The blog is back in business everybody!”
