Jesus died on the cross so that we can walk in His love and acceptance. When the love of God comes in, shame has to go!
As I call upon you, let my shame and disgrace be replaced by your favor once again. But let shame and disgrace fall instead upon the wicked— those going to their own doom, drifting down in silence to the dust of death.
Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honour. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense.
We read Psalms 31:17-19 in its entirety. We also read from Isaiah 61:7, Deuteronomy 28:2, Psalms 40:4, and Proverbs 10:22.
