What is Your Word?
Our first word for 2022 was sent in by Barb and it is the word flourish. God isn't wanting us just to be happy, He desires us to flourish! It is an active word, it is overflowing. Barb shared "I crave for the Holy Spirit to flourish in me and all this year." What a beautiful prayer.
But the godly will flourish like palm trees
and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.
For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house.
They flourish in the courts of our God.
Even in old age they will still produce fruit;
they will remain vital and green.
They will declare, “The Lord is just!
He is my rock!
There is no evil in him!” -Psalm 92:12-15 NLT
Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example],
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers).
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night.
And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season;
Its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity]. - Psalm 1:1-3 AMP
To flourish is to grow or develop in a healthy vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favourable environment. Where is God inviting you to flourish in your life?
