Light Overcomes Darkness
Sometimes, victory goes to the wicked. At least that’s the way it seems when we look through our own eyes, relying on our own understanding. Isn’t it interesting how 2,500 years since David put pen to paper the world around us seems to have stayed the same in many regards. Fortunately for us, we can draw from history to see how God causes nations to rise and fall, and brings justice to the wicked.
As we draw this series to a close, we revisit Psalm 27 in its entirety. Stand firm and courageous by knowing the truth that God is our defender, our shelter, and our retreat. No matter what’s taking place, His light overcomes darkness.
The Eternal is my light amidst my darkness
and my rescue in times of trouble.
So whom shall I fear?
He surrounds me with a fortress of protection.
So nothing should cause me alarm.
I will move past my enemies with this one, sure hope:
that with my own eyes, I will see the goodness of the Eternal
in the land of the living. - Psalm 27:1&13 VOICE
